WebsiteInternational Development Studies (IDS) is a multidisciplinary study of how and why countries develop differently from each other. IDS programs provide students with a critical understanding of international development issues through exposure to a variety of academic disciplines, cultures, and, in the case of the specialist co-op program, an overseas work experience in the field of international development.

The African Studies Minor aims to widen students' knowledge and experience of the second largest and complex continent, its peoples, and their diasporas. Students will discover Africans' important contributions to the world's artistic, literary, political, and religious ideas.
