Dr. Bovee served four years as Associate Director of the Computer Science/Computer Security & Information Assurance Program and one year as Director of the School of Cybersecurity, Data Science, and Computing. During that time he was instrumental in creating and supporting student opportunities for professional certification, research, scholarship, and internship. Since 2010 he has also been Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator, or co-author on 9 grants and over $5.5 million in funding, Co-Investigator on the recertification of Norwich as an NSA Center of Academic Excellence, and the Project Manager for the Super Bowl 50 project. Super Bowl 50 – the topic of his presentation – was a six-month effort involving all aspects of a 67-student team that supported Super Bowl 50 cybersecurity and provided a unique opportunity for students to apply classroom learning in a live-fire engagement.
