WebsiteIn this presentation I want to juxtapose the experience of building a research center focused on resilience and security to the past year experiencing the pandemic and building personal resilience and security. The presentation will highlight the lessons that now permeate my teaching, research and service.
Prof. Kulkarni is an Associate Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Director of the Center for Global Resilience and Security (CGRS) at Norwich University (NU). She was the recipient of the 2019 Homer L. Dodge Award for excellence in teaching and is a 2017 Board of Fellows award winner. She has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Florida State University and is a licensed professional engineer. She has over fifteen years of experience across state government, management consulting, and academia. As Director of CGRS, she has launched and leads multiple funded projects related to the Dog River Conservancy, energy resilience, environmental security, the Resilient Vermont Network, and the Norwich Humanities Initiative.
