Welcome to the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough! Students interested in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry programs apply to the Physical & Environmental Sciences admission category.

The Chemistry group has strengths in analytical and environmental chemistry with emphasis on the transport and distribution of chemical contaminants in the environment, the response of global carbon pools to climatic change, the development of novel nuclear magnetic resonance and magnetic resonance imaging-based analytical approaches, and their application to assess environmental stress in living systems.

The Chemistry curriculum offers a range of excellent academic programs, training students with hands-on laboratory skills that will enable them to excel in a rapidly changing and more challenging world.
