Fall Campus Week 2021: Laboratory Medicine Specialist Program
At the forefront of medical research and discovery, the Pathobiology Specialist Program offers you the opportunity to study the causes and mechanisms of disease and their resulting impact on human health.
Investigate pivotal questions such as:
· Why do certain cells become cancerous?
· Why do particular neurons degenerate?
· Why did that atherosclerotic plaque form?
These and similar questions are fundamental to making medical breakthroughs.
As a Collaborative Life Sciences program in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, we admit around 30 students into the program each year.
Since its inception in 2001, more than 400 students have graduated from the program. Our alumni have gone on to pursue graduate studies and professional degrees such as; medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and law. Today, our alumni pursue careers in academia, governmental agencies, education, and the continually growing biomedical, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries, amongst others.
