Kristina Libby was 28 years old when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. At 34, she was diagnosed again. Now, the wife and mother of 3 is using her experiences and a new degree from Southern New Hampshire University to impact the lives of others.

“I think that my life was spared. I have a purpose to be here and I need – I need – to have a complete life, and I need to help others. That’s why I’m here, becoming a nurse,” Kristina said.

Kristina enrolled in SNHU’s bachelor’s in nursing in 2015 and recently graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Now she focuses on helping others by giving care to patients as a registered nurse.

“If I were to describe myself in one word, it would be brave,” she said. “When I face barriers, I break through.”
