The International Student Centre (ISC) is here to provide you with all the support and guidance you will need during your time at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Our transition advisors are available to assist international, exchange students and newcomers with immigration and Transition Support, and to answer questions you may have.
Immigration Advising: As an international student, you are responsible to obtain and maintain valid immigration and travel documents to study and work in Canada. You should never let your documents expire. Certified immigration advisors at the International Student Center (ISC) are happy to help you with your legal documents and Canadian immigration inquiries.
Transition Advising and Workshops: Our International Student Advisors are happy to help you with other aspects of student life, in addition to immigration questions. Advisors can help you with:
·Learning about the University
·Getting involved on campus and the Co-Curricular Record (CCR)
·Discussing your adjustment to Canada and homesickness
·Coming up with ways to connect with peers and make friends
·Performing better academically
·Learning about health insurance (UHIP) and income tax
·Navigating the U of T system
Global Mobility: The University of Toronto has a variety of international programs for students to study, research, or work abroad. These programs provide students with insights into the real world, and help them develop interpersonal and strong communication skills, as well as enhance future employment opportunities.
Global Local & Intercultural: The Global Local Program allows you to develop a deeper awareness of local and global issues by examining how local and global issues are connected while helping you develop the skills to work and learn with diverse communities at home and abroad.
