Criminology

Criminology is the study of crime and justice, and their relationship to the police, courts, prison and other systems of regulation. You’ll gain hands-on experience through international exchanges, research and case studies. You’ll graduate with the ability to think critically about issues in law, social inequality, human rights, Indigenous justice, ethics, crime control and prevention. Upon graduation, apply your understanding of the critical issues of race, class and gender to the administration of the criminal justice system. 

This is one of 10 bachelor of arts programs that share a one-year foundation. Double major options available after first year: Criminology and History, Criminology and Politics and Governance, or Criminology and Sociology.
