University of Toronto Mississauga - Master of Biotechnology Program (MBiotech)

MBiotech is an innovative, professional Master’s degree program which delivers a world-class interdisciplinary graduate education coupled with extensive work experience in the biotech, medical device, and biopharmaceutical industries.

MBiotech commences each year in May and is tailored to meet the evolving needs of our students, and those of the global health sciences industry. The Program’s faculty is drawn from the depart­ments of Biology, Chemical & Physical Sciences and Manage­ment. The Program also invites guest lecturers from the biotech­nology sector, govern­ment agencies, public and private companies and members of other University of Toronto faculties.

MBiotech's Biopharmaceutical stream (BioPh) is a two-year, full-time program comprised of required coursework and an internship placement in industry. Students complete eight months of full-time study, after which they begin 8-12 months of mandatory, paid industry internships.

MBiotech's Digital Health Technologies (DHT) stream is a two-year, full-time program comprised of required coursework and an internship placement in industry. No prior coding of statistical knowledge is assumed or required. Students complete 12 months of full-time study, after which they begin 8-12 months of mandatory, paid industry internships.
