A lil 'bout me
Hey y'all! My name is Hillary - feel free to call me Hill - and I'm a 4th year computer science and CCIT student, currently on my PEY placement as a software developer @ Oracle, so while you won't catch me around campus, I hope I can provide some good vibes over the wonderful web :) 

If I'm not preoccupied with soft deving, course work, or TAing, you'll find me playing video games, watching anime, drawing, working out or just getting screamed at by my two little budgies while doing any of the above.

A lil 'bout my personal experiences
In my first year, I really struggled. Coping with life, balancing school and friends, unsure of what I wanted to do - I was just straight up not having a good time :/ I came into 2nd year feeling like I was the imposter among us and that I had nothing to offer. 

But boy, 2nd year was the year! I did better in my classes, landed a teaching assistant position for CSC108, got involved in clubs and societies, connected with profs, met new friends, and finally felt that I had found my home here. It sounds pretty heckin' cheesy but all of this is exactly what I hope you can come out of this program feeling too and I'd love to be a part of your journey!

A lil 'bout what you can expect from me as my mentee

I want to be a person you're comfortable chatting with. Tell me about the cute thing your dog did or talk to me about how you kinda want to interact with one of your profs more. Ask me what you can do to get those writing skills up or whether I like coca-cola or pepsi more.

Do you want to get more involved on campus or build your academic skills? 

Interested in adding to your resume or curious about the different career paths you can pursue?
