My work focuses on the faceted stylization of different objects. In this case, I chose two images that are landscapes, specifically mountains. I used Photoshop to digitally create the faceted effect of the mountain. I also decided to paint within different aspects of the photos as well. I stuck to a more relative color palette, just so the colors would not clash together. In both photos, there were some aspects that I left alone because I wanted the pictures to keep some of their original realism, and so that the faceted portion did not overpower the images.
My goal with this work was to represent the colorized versions of different landscapes. I believe that I am able to express myself better in the faceted style rather than realistically. I feel that landscapes are the best way to represent my work, not only with the faceted effect, but by the different colors that are used within the work. The two photos both consist of the colorized vision of landscapes, hence why I decided to create these photos in the faceted style.
