Currently I work on teaching a project-based Vertically Integrated Project (VIP) course to 25 undergraduate students. In just 3 semesters we have increased course enrollment from 6 to 25 students through expanding the traditional VIP classroom. Traditional VIP courses only utilize summative assessments through a notebook and final presentation. In this course I've utilized traditional course structure including several formative assessments throughout the semester to help keep students engaged. Along with having a detailed syllabi and course lectures the VIP has seen success with 97% of students returning for more than one semester and will have the first student led project completed during this Spring semester.
