This session is led by Dr. Brett Beston (Associate Professor, Teaching Stream & Associate Chair of Teaching) & Dr. Keisuke Fukuda (Assistant Professor & Psychology Undergraduate Research Coordinator), who will introduce and highlight various programs of study (PoSTs) and research opportunities hosted by the Department of Psychology at UTM. Topics include introducing the roots of Psychology, career opportunities, programs available at UTM, different research avenues within Psychology and many more topics.

Department of Psychology
Psychology programs emphasize the scientific method and its application to the study of behaviour and thought processes in humans and animals.
Psychology at the University of Toronto Mississauga is an experimental discipline situated within the life sciences and devoted to the understanding of behaviour. Our faculty complement includes scientists who study personality, social behaviour, development, abnormal behaviour, cognition, perception, and behavioural neuroscience. Our research reflects many analytic approaches to the investigation of behaviour and includes the study of both humans and animals. This range and diversity of our research expertise is reflected in our undergraduate program, which is broad and comprehensive, preparing our students for postgraduate programs and other occupations requiring a Psychology background.
