Problem
Today's options for air quality monitoring and management are very poor; they are expensive, non-scalable, and non-specific.
Technology
Our technology offers smart sensor units (mobile and fixed) that measure accurate hyper-local levels of
Greenhouse gases: Ozone (O3), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Sulfur dioxide (SO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
Air quality: Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), Air Quality Index (AQI) and dust particles (PM2.5, 10)
Meteorological: temperature, humidity, pressure, and wind
The data is shared to the cloud where AI-powered calibration and analytics transpire. And, finally, all that complexity is simplified for the customer on a web-based dashboard.
Current State of Development
Technology fully tested with field pilots and is in the commercialization phase.
Market
Target Market / Addressable Market: We are initializing the business with the government and industrial sectors.
Market Size: The global air monitoring market is $16.2Bn by 2025. For our sectors we are looking at a TAM of $11.6Bn.
Additional Markets: Agriculture, mining, energy & utilities, healthcare
Revenue Model & Traction
Revenue Model: Our business model is a SaaS model that seems to be very attractive to our customers. We own, build, and manage the hardware; it’s provided to the customer as a loan. Our costs are worked into the SaaS number. We are charging a monthly rate for the fixed unit and double that for the mobile one; gross margins better than 70%.
Go to Market Strategy: We are approaching customers directly and through channel as well as strategic partners.
Current Traction: We have started to generate revenue through paid pilots and consulting contracts. Our current pilots are with the Town of Milton and the City of Hamilton. We have leads for pilots with City of Toronto and Kitchener. We have channel partners that we are working to integrate our technology into their platform (Geotab and SmartCone). We continue to work on closing current industry leads (e.g., ArcelorMittal Dofasco, IBI Group) and generate new ones.
