IT 14 - EduPathAI – College Program Recommendation System For Potential Student

Potential students often struggle to find suitable post-secondary academic programs due to the complexity of requirements and the overwhelming variety of options, leading to confusion and poor choices.

EduPathAI addresses this by providing personalized program recommendations, simplifying the decision-making process and increasing the likelihood of selecting programs that align with students' academic strengths and career goals.

When a potential student uses EduPathAI, they upload their transcript and provide what they’re interested in, such as their favorite subjects or career aspiration. The system conducts optical character recognition (OCR) powered by Gemini for transcript analysis, vector-based matching with FAISS for efficient similarity searches against academic program information from official Centennial College page, and a multi-agent system using CrewAI to assess eligibility, preferences, and generate explanations. 

Extensive testing confirmed that EduPathAI accurately processes transcripts, matches profiles to programs, and delivers reliable recommendations to ensure a seamless user experience. Unlike traditional methods that rely on manual searches and generic criteria, EduPathAI uses AI to offer tailored recommendations based on individual academic profiles and preferences.
