CentBot emerges as an innovative technological solution given the need to not only improve accessibility and experience but also as a value to place the Centennial College website at a high level of technology use in line with the teaching it provides. In a global context where education requires immediacy and efficiency as fundamental pillars for user satisfaction and engagement, this project presents a chatbot called CentBot designed to transform and improve digital interaction with the educational community.
Using Native Language Processing algorithms, CentBot is programmed to respond to common queries in clear, friendly language, provide up-to-date information on various programs and admissions, and guide users through the college's immense digital content intuitively. Its implementation responds to a need to convert the interaction to a level that makes the search friendly, intuitive and enjoyable with the aim of streamlining the online search and consultation processes, improving the user experience.
The motivation behind CentBot is based on the experience as a student-user when interacting with the college website, where great opportunities for improvement are identified to optimize the accessibility of information. Knowing the great potential of artificial intelligence technologies to provide solutions to these challenges, the group of students of the Artificial Intelligence program set out to create a tool that would facilitate access to information in a dynamic, intuitive and satisfactory way.
Among the benefits of CentBot that will generate this transformation, include the reduction of response time to queries, the increase in the efficiency of digital interactions and the ability to adapt to the growth needs of the college. In addition, its friendly design and intuitive interface ensure a minimal learning curve for use, regardless of the degree of familiarity with the technology on the part of users.
Focused on user satisfaction, the CentBot project has established clear and measurable objectives, such as increasing user engagement with the platform by 25%, improving user satisfaction until reaching a rate of at least 85%, and reduce the average query resolution time by 20%. These goals reflect the team's extensive scope and commitment to creating solutions that not only respond to current technological demands, but also align with the technological advancement and future needs of the Centennial College community.
