EN 10 - Smart Energy Auditing Device

As global warming becomes a global concern, many countries are committing to reducing carbon emissions. One of the most effective ways to contribute to this goal is by improving energy efficiency. People are now more aware than ever of the importance of optimizing energy use—not only to help the planet, but also to lower their utility bills.

To make energy auditing more accessible, we developed an smart device that combines multiple environmental sensors into a single, portable tool. This device includes a thermal imager, air quality sensor, lux meter, and decibel meter. It enables both homeowners and professional auditors to perform energy audits without needing to carry multiple instruments.

Our device provides real-time readings and visualizes them using intuitive graphs. This allows users to track trends over time and identify inefficiencies, such as poor insulation, noise pollution, poor air quality, or improper lighting. For professionals, this tool makes it easier to explain findings to clients and diagnose problems on site.

We created this project to make energy auditing more convenient, affordable, and understandable. By lowering the barrier to entry, we hope to encourage more people to assess and improve their energy use—and take a meaningful step toward sustainability.
