Farm based occupational therapy (OT) is a new and emerging setting for practice. Utilizing the person-environment-occupation- performance (PEOP) model, the researchers aimed to create a program that was best suited to children with behavioral needs. Through an occupational profile (OP), the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM), the Sensory Profile– Caregiver Questionnaire (SP), caregiver surveys, and an environmental assessment, researchers created an intervention that encompasses all the elements of the OT practice framework (OTPF). The intervention received positive feedback from three respondents that the curriculum was client-centered, motivating, and appropriate. Implications for further research includes piloting the program.
