Canada Post Corporate Sustainability Intern

During my summer internship with Canada Post’s Corporate Sustainability Team, I had the opportunity to contribute to key sustainability projects, with a focus on the company’s developing biodiversity strategy. In addition to biodiversity, I contributed to Canada Post’s greenhouse gas inventory, last-mile delivery study, climate risks and opportunities research, and external sustainability reporting. I also collaborated on an Action Learning Project to improve durable goods waste disposal.

Throughout the internship, I learned that sustainability requires effective collaboration, trial-and-error approaches, and a strong commitment from senior management. Canada Post’s supportive work environment and its focus on sustainability have been crucial to my professional growth, allowing me to develop strategic thinking and technical skills in corporate sustainability. This experience has been immensely valuable, and I’m grateful for the guidance and mentorship I received.
