I spent this past summer as a Social Impact and Sustainability Intern at the LCBO. I worked closely with the Spirit of Sustainability team, including my supervisor, Siobhan Barrie, the Senior Manager of Social Impact and Sustainability, and Julia Oudeh, the Director of Sustainability and Social Impact. I had a really positive experience throughout this summer and I supported the team with research on supplier ESG commitments, developing charity partnership proposals, and assisting with the development of the 5 year ESG strategy. 

When it comes to sustainability, the LCBO has launched an enterprise-wide social impact platform called the "Spirit of Sustainability."  The LCBO is committed to creating a more sustainable future for Ontarians and advancing positive changes within the industry The Spirit of Sustainability initiative focuses on three key pillars:
