I’m thrilled to share my recent experience as an Environmental Health and Sustainability Co-op at Yamaha Motor Canada, the Canadian subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., a global leader in manufacturing motorized products like motorcycles, marine engines, and ATVs. Yamaha’s commitment to innovation and sustainability allowed me to contribute to impactful environmental initiatives.

During my time, I played a key role in advancing sustainability certifications such as Zero Carbon Building and ENERGY STAR, and contributed to ISO 50001 Ready certification. I also worked on initiatives related to carbon neutrality as Yamaha pursues carbon neutrality by 2024 and net zero by 2050. Additionally, I gained experience in utility data analysis and employee engagement to foster a company-wide culture of sustainability.

This internship has been an incredible learning journey, merging my passion for sustainability with Yamaha’s focus on creating exciting and lasting experiences.
