There are many unknowns in our society, our stability is a precarious thing. The world was already a competitive place in 2020. With the introduction of a global pandemic many areas were extremely hard hit. Jobs as well as affordable house became scarce. New Jersey was a COVID-19 hotspot. Often, NJ ranked in the ten states of COVID infections and death.
When New Jersey shut down, many lost their jobs. Unemployment skyrocketed and there was already an affordable housing crisis. With no cure or viable treatment for COVID the infirm and lower-class citizens suffered. My research will examine the rates of COVID-19 infections, Homelessness and Unemployment in NJ for the month of January for the years prior to COVID-19 and the year after.
The statistics and the information from the government sources with be compared to examine any correlation between these factors.
