With the social media rising in both popularity and use, a new line of work called influencers has become wildly successful. Thanks to their strong interpersonal relationships created with other social media users, companies and influencers themselves have been building on this success. In my research, I delve further into who are influencers and the work process used to create social media content. Influencers are not perfect, they also inflict negative reactions and dilemmas in the community that must be addressed. By looking further into the various ways influencers and influencer marketing effect both themselves and others, I have found ways to better prepare all kinds of social media users for handling influencer-made social media content.
