Our goal is to provide members who identify with any societal minority, such as people of colour, LGBTQ+ individuals, different bodied people, and immigrants, with the resources to succeed in law and sociology. UTM MILAS also aims to foster allyship with those who do not identify as societal minorities and wish to learn more about minority representation and experiences in law and sociology.

UTM MILAS recognizes the lack of representation experienced by the minority community and the need of those students wishing to gain a further understanding of the history of minorities in law and sociology beyond the confines of a classroom environment. In this way, UTM MILAS hopes to extend and enrich the learning experience for all students through the methods of collaboration and community.
