Seiche Modes in a Circular Above-Ground Pool

Observations and analysis of a seiche formed in a circular above ground swimming pool (depth 1.2 m, radius 3.2). The seiche was formed by driving a vertical oscillation of the water surface at the center of the pool. When driven at the appropriate frequency, a standing wave pattern is set up in the pool. We appear to have observed modes with one-four modes sandwiched between antinodes at the center and exterior of the pool.
