Plant Your Future

For this year's Sustainability Week, the UTMSU is partnering with Global Sustainable Foods for a panel to share with students the knowledge to grow their own produce and the importance of farming, food security and sustainability on a local and international scale. In addition, enjoy a special workshop after the panel where you can learn how to plant kale and basil!

Join us on Friday, March 18th from 12PM-2PM for our one-of-a kind “Plant Your Future” panel where you’ll learn about sustainable practices from local farmers from Ryan’s Market Garden and Wilder Acres Farm, as well as our international speaker from the Ardi Ardak, “My land is your land” Initiative Afif Whebe.

Global Sustainable Foods (GSF) is a startup nonprofit organization rooted in building trust and engagement between local farmers and their communities. GSF implements educational workshops as a means to increase farm to fork solutions, therefore encouraging everyday citizens to think about the impacts of their food consumption habits.
