Immaculata University

Immaculata University’s Division of Nursing has been educating nurses for more than 30 years and has over 4,600 alumni.

Immaculata’s faculty teach a holistic approach to nursing practice, in keeping with the core values of the university. The faculty believe that nursing is an art and a science that cares for patients as whole persons — composed of mind, body and spirit — who are unique, valuable members of their cultures and communities. Immaculata nurses help patients to promote, restore, and maintain their health, and to die in comfort and with dignity.

Immaculata offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate nursing programs that will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to provide holistic, patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Pre-licensure B.S.N. Program

Immaculata’s pre-licensure bachelor’s degree program in nursing (B.S.N.) prepares students academically, socially, and spiritually to practice within today’s complex health care systems. The B.S.N. program is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Pennsylvania State Board of Education and the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

R.N. to B.S.N. Program

The accelerated R.N. to B.S.N. program is offered on the main campus, fully online, and at various sites throughout the tri-state area.

Nursing, B.S.N. (Accelerated Second Degree)

Designed to be completed in an accelerated format, this 55 credit program includes theoretical and clinical content. Once you graduate from this program, you will receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.), and you will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

M.S.N. Program

Immaculata’s Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) program is offered on the main campus, fully online, and at selected off-campus locations.

Nursing Administration Certificate (Post-Master’s Program)

This graduate-level nursing administration certificate enables master’s-prepared nurses to assume leadership roles or administrative positions in health care, or to gain a broader foundation for doctoral studies.

Nursing Education Certificate (Post-Master’s Program)

This graduate-level nursing education certificate enables master’s-prepared nurses to assume leadership roles or educational positions in health care or academic settings, or to gain a broader foundation for doctoral studies.

Higher Education Ed.D., Nursing Education Concentration

The doctoral program in Higher Education with a concentration in Nursing Education equips registered nurses to become highly qualified faculty who also have the skills and experience to lead departments, colleges and schools of nursing and to teach the next generation of nurses effectively in both classroom and clinical settings. The faculty believe that nursing is an art and a science that incorporates the physical, psychological, and social sciences, and the humanities into its practice. Nursing is the use of self in assisting persons to promote, restore, and maintain health, and to die in comfort and with dignity. Nursing necessitates the development of a sense of equity, justice, freedom, dignity, group membership, community, and the encompassing environment.
