Mount Sinai Phillips School of Nursing

The Mount Sinai Phillips School of Nursing is located in New York City, one of the most cosmopolitan and diverse cities in which to live and learn.

Your learning will take place within the heart of the Mount Sinai Health System, which gives you outstanding preparation for the real world. You will work alongside a team of exceptional nurses and physicians in your clinical rotations to care for an extraordinary range of patients and learn about diverse health conditions and specialties. Many of our students transition directly into working for the Mount Sinai Health System, having forged valuable connections that put them a step ahead of other nursing graduates. And if there is a specific field of nursing that you are interested in, it most likely exists at Mount Sinai.

We offer the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program (ABSN)—open to prospective students with a bachelor’s degree in another field. This 15-month program is completed in four semesters and prepares graduates to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) to obtain licensure. Our RN-BSN program is open to registered nurses with a diploma or associate's degree in nursing. This program increases general knowledge in the physical and social sciences, and prepares graduates for leadership positions and the ability to practice in a wide range of specialties.

We hope that you will take some time to tour our website and to attend an Information Session where you can meet our faculty and students. Once you experience the fellowship among students and faculty, coupled with their passion for knowledge, we are certain that you will decide this is the place you want to be.

PSON is accredited by the Commission on Nursing Education for its specialty accreditation in nursing through 2031. Institutional accreditation is by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) www.msche.org. PSON’s accreditation status is Candidate for Accreditation.
