  • Emphasizing leadership and decision making, Wagner’s Undergraduate Nursing Program blends liberal arts and intensive course work in nursing to prepare upper division nursing students for the intellectual and technical challenges of the profession. Students are offered a variety of field experiences in selected health care agencies.

Graduates are prepared to take the NCLEX-RN examination and may work in a variety of health care settings. In addition the RN-BS option offers professional nurses the ability to advance their studies and/or prepare for graduate work.

The Graduate Nursing Program is designed for professional nurses to prepare them to advance Nursing knowledge and abilities generally and in a specific functional area. In the master’s program, the graduate student is prepared in the role areas of nurse educator or family nurse practitioner.

Students who have a master’s in nursing may obtain a post master’s certificate in family health nursing. Classes are offered in the evenings, with the schedule arranged so that most students can take two courses in one evening. Close attention from an experienced and well credentialed faculty provides a stimulating and meaningful educational experience.

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program , which began in fall of 2014, offers admission to advanced placed nurse practitioners to pursue a practice doctorate with a focus on disaster preparedness and population health.
