Missouri Western offers a Nursing Simulation Lab complete with equipment, simulators, mannequins, supplies, printed resources, CDs, video and audio tapes, and computer resources to facilitate multi-sensory learning of technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills.

It is staffed by a Nursing Simulation Lab Coordinator and Laboratory Teaching Assistants (LTAs), who are select nursing students. The nursing lab team strives to:

Project a service-oriented, supportive, respectful and friendly attitude.

Demonstrate, teach and explain with a focus on rationales.

Move from the simple to the complex, and from that which is familiar to the relatively unfamiliar.

Respectfully require a high, but attainable, level of competence.

The Nursing Simulation Lab is available for independent practice, guided practice and validations.
