With over 30 years of successful degree programs, the Leighton School of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). It is housed in the Michael A. Evans Center for Health Sciences, a 140,000 square foot facility to which nursing students have 24-hour access.
The center offers study spaces, high-technology classrooms, two lecture halls, five simulation rooms with high-fidelity manikins and ten simulated exam rooms, an anatomy lab, nursing resource center, computer lab, cafe, chapel, student lockers, student kitchen/vending area, and health sciences administration and faculty offices.
The school works collaboratively with the College of Osteopathic Medicine to provide students with an opportunity for interprofessional education built on teamwork and collaboration needed to ensure successful health care outcomes.
