Florida Southern College

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Southern College will give you the skills needed to provide the highest quality care in a variety of settings. Students explore the history and theoretical foundations of the nursing profession; gain in-depth knowledge of the biological and behavioral sciences; care for clients across the lifespan; explore health, illness, and disease in a global context.

Better Outcomes

Nurses work hand in hand with other health care staff members to produce the best possible patient outcomes. Our labs, set up to simulate a clinical situation, allow you to practice determining the best course of action for the patient and then delegate tasks and communicate accordingly.

Not only do these activities let you demonstrate your skills in a contextual learning environment, but they also foster critical thinking and improved clinical judgment. Because of your extensive hands-on training, you’ll be highly sought after. 100% of our nursing majors are offered a job or are accepted into graduate school.

Selective Program

Applicants for the direct-admit BSN Program should apply for admission to Florida Southern College and select Nursing as their intended major; a separate application is not required but admission is competitive.

The BSN program selects students with the highest academic profiles who we feel will be most successful in our rigorous nursing curriculum. First-year nursing students average a 3.76 high school GPA, 26 ACT, and 1240 SAT.
