  • Welcome to Colorado Christian University's Nursing programs, offered through CCU's School of Nursing and Health Professions. Our vision is to empower you to practice nursing as ministry. We challenge our nursing degree students to become competent, compassionate, moral leaders who impact their world and transform healthcare through the uniqueness of Christ-inspired nursing practice. At CCU, nursing is both a scientific discipline and a sacred calling.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

The BSN program is a bachelor's in nursing program for students who want to begin or advance their healthcare careers. The 120 credit hour nursing program is available with two paths:

    • The BSN Traditional Student Pathway is designed for students who enter CCU as freshmen right after high school or transfer after their freshman or sophomore year and want to participate in a Christ-centered undergraduate community on a traditional college campus. Traditional students complete both BSN prerequisites and major classes on-site at CCU's main campus in Lakewood, Colorado, where you'll find one of the top Christian schools with nursing programs.
    • The BSN Adult Student Pathway is designed for adult students who previously obtained a high school diploma or GED before beginning their CCU program. While adult students may complete BSN prerequisites online, courses in the BSN major are available primarily in a face-to-face learning environment at CCU's Lakewood campus near Denver or CCU's Grand Junction Center in western Colorado.

Online RN to BSN Degree Completion

The online RN to BSN degree completion track is designed for licensed RNs with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) who want to complete their nursing bachelor's degree. You may transfer up to 90 credits hours toward CCU's 120-credit hour BSN. The remaining 30 credits include nine online classes that can be completed in just over one year.

Master of Science in Nursing Degree

The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is designed for nurses who already have a bachelor's degree and want to gain advanced nursing leadership skills in order to expand their career options and earning potential. The 39-credit nursing program offers you two tracks — Nursing Education and Clinical Care Management in Adult/Geriatric — that are in high demand. The MSN program is available online, and may be completed in just over two years of full-time study through one of the best Christian nursing schools in Colorado.

    Doctor of Nursing Practice

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at CCU is designed for nurses — nurse practitioners, nurse administrators and healthcare leaders, clinical nurse specialists, and nurse educators — who already have an MSN. The online DNP at CCU is a practice-focused doctorate degree that will prepare experts in specialized advanced nursing practice. Graduates will be able to apply credible research and translate evidence-based practice into improved health outcomes. The 30-credit hour doctoral nursing program provides development of advanced competencies for increasingly complex practice and enhanced leadership to strengthen healthcare delivery.
