  • We are a team of Engineers trying to aid students to get back their social lives affected by the current Pandemic. By exposing them to interesting and affordable events, KABL encourages them to make deeper connections with other students sharing similar interests. We have created a business model to evaluate the possible sources of income. Considering 50% of UofT students using KABL, we would generate $516,000 per month with most of the income generated by ticket sales and annual subscriptions.

    After surveying over 800 students while conducting market research, we found that 68% of the respondents gave a 4-5 out of 5 rating when asked how likely they would be to use our app. Similarly, 50% of the respondents indicated that they would pay some kind of fee for this service.
    The KABL team want to take advantage of the pandemic and lack of social interactions, to seize this huge student centered market with nearly unlimited demand.

    Customer Problem – The problem that students are facing today is being UNAWARE of AFFORDABLE academical, political and even fun events they’d LOVE that are going on in their city.

     

    Product/Service Solution - KABL is an event planning social media platform that is integrated into reality and hopes to encourage and facilitate real-world interactions. We offer users the ability to preview events and experiences tailored to their likings in real time. KABL consists of an interactive map of the events happening around you and their compatibility with you; from academic seminars, and university tutoring sessions, to bars and

    concerts. Features include the ability to filter by type of events, average spending budget, and compatibility ratings. KABL view also allows users to preview the event in real time from the comfort of their own home by watching videos and pictures uploaded by people at the event.

     

    Target Market – KABL’s initial target market is all the students at the University of Toronto’s St. George Campus. We plan to expand this market to students attending any University/College in the world.
