    Customer Problem

Retail entrepreneurs with Brick-and-Mortar are already struggling to survive before the pandemic and COVID-19 has made it worse for many. It could be seen clearly as vacancy rate of commercial spaces have increased by 560% from 2019. The main reason why retail entrepreneurs are struggling today is due to (1) expensive rent, and (2) competing with platforms like Amazon. The pandemic has forced even more to shop online with small businesses that made 50% of sales online increased by 47% from 2019.

    Product/Service Solution

Platforms like Amazon focuses on the product. At Tenatch, our solution is to view entrepreneurs as persons with personality instead of product itself. Tenatch’s C2C marketplace platform groups together complementary retail entrepreneurs into great spaces to maximize their chances of success through rent reduction, higher traffic flow due to similar target customer demographic, and new experience to customers. Additional services we offer to increase their chances of success includes marketing and social media strategies to promote their businesses. This includes storytelling through video creation and magazine publication.

    Target Market

Since Tenatch is a marketplace platform, it has multiple customer aspects. For our current stage, the target market for Tenatch will be separated into two (1) artisans – businesses without storefront and (2) storefront owners – with storefront. The target for artisans is between the age 25 and 35 that is passionate to start their own business but hesitant due to the expensive rent and now not knowing when COVID will end. The target for storefront owners is between the age 30 and 45 and slightly more adventurous to try different things.

    Current Customers

The early adopters for Tenatch are painters who have a strong interest and passion for painting and do not have their own gallery or public studio. As for storefront owners, the early adopters are mostly boutique coffee shop owners.
