Cuba has long been a major adversary of the United States. In the 20th century, the island nation utilized many tactics to try and overcome their foe. One of these was by trafficking narcotics. This area is highly understudied by modern Latin American and Cuba historians and scholars, as well as being shrouded in mystery and open to biased interpretation. This research makes an effort to determine the extent of Cuban involvement, the culpability of Fidel and Raul Castro, and how effective these operations were.
