The research study was conducted to discover how work at home nurses maintain their efficiency while coping with the additional challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and how to maximize productivity. Twelve nurses were asked four questions to get a better understanding of their experiences. The nurses reported specific steps taken to optimize productivity, ways to enhance the home work environment, and areas where COVID-19 has improved work at home life. Nursing implications include a network of work at home nurses established within the organization for support.

This qualitative research project was conducted to understand how work at home nurses maintain efficiency while coping with the COVID-19 pandemic. The researcher sought to understand through the rich experiences of the nurses the many challenges facing them not only as work-at-home employees but through the added burden of the pandemic.
