For more than 38 years, the Dr. Lillian R. Goodman Nursing Department at Worcester State University has been educating students and professional nurses to improve the health of individuals, families, and communities throughout Massachusetts and around the world. Our rigorous academic programs prepare you for evidence-based nursing practice with a growing focus on multidisciplinary care and the nurse’s role as leader and manager of the client’s health care.
To enhance your learning experience, we consistently link theory with practice by connecting you to hands-on opportunities like researching alongside world-class faculty, practicing in our state-of-the-art nursing simulation lab, and working in clinical practice at prestigious health-care organizations. We host a chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society for outstanding nursing majors, and a chapter of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
