Glen Cove Hospital has been providing neighboring communities with exceptional, compassionate care for almost a century. Northwell Health is committed to building on that legacy by evolving to a new model of care that will ensure that the health care needs of local residents continue to be met.

While maintaining inpatient beds for both medical and surgical patients, along with our emergency department and intensive care unit for patients requiring critical care, Glen Cove Hospital is placing a greater emphasis on outpatient, community-based and home-based services. We have added a clinical decision unit, which allows us to extend the period of observation and treatment for patients seeking emergency care. In addition to treating traditional illnesses, this unit will cater to the unique needs of our geriatric patients, who may be frail. Our transformation is consistent with the transformation of health care delivery models happening across the country.

The existing and new clinical programs to be offered at Glen Cove Hospital and in the community will enable us to continue to care for local residents at their most critical time of need, while also managing the health and wellness of individuals in outpatient settings.
