The Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners (MICNP) is a professional organization of nurse practitioners (NPs) composed of a diverse group of individuals, including those from different specialties, races, ethnicities, socioeconomic statuses, ages, religious backgrounds, genders, gender identities and sexual orientations. MICNP will harness the power of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) to strengthen our collective professional and clinical excellence. MICNP leadership is committed to fostering an inclusive environment, which will enable recruitment and retention of a diverse membership that reflects the communities in which we serve and live. MICNP will maintain an infrastructure to support DEIB efforts and initiatives and use technology, training and collaboration to promote DEIB awareness and activities throughout the organization.
