Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama (NPAA) is the professional organization that represents our State’s advanced practice nurses and students enrolled in nurse practitioner programs. NPAA’s organizational expertise ranges from governmental practice issues, workplace issues, continuing education, public relations, patient advocacy, and other matters related to the promotion of the advanced practice nurse’s profession. NPAA strives to keep all members and supporters informed on all issues and opportunities in health care’s dynamic environment.

Our mission is to coordinate and provide a venue for all NPs to advance, support and promote the high standards and cost-effectiveness of health care for Alabama’s citizens. NPAA is committed to providing high-quality healthcare services when and where needed.

The primary purpose of our organization is to coordinate and provide a mechanism for all NP groups in Alabama to speak with one voice concerning:

• Full utilization of NP scope of practice in Alabama
• Advocating for professional privileges consistent with NP educational preparation
• Advocating for issues of significant importance for the general welfare of NPs
• Improving the health and welfare of Alabama’s citizens by improving the healthcare delivery system within Alabama.
