About JA Volunteering:
JA (Junior Achievement) works with schools to deliver experiential programs in the classroom to students in Grades 4-12, currently using an online delivery model. We also work directly with students through self-directed online learning and after-school programming. Our work is centered around three core pillars:
Dedicated volunteers are at the core of JA's impact on Canadian youth.
JA has pivoted our format from the traditional delivery style during the pandemic to still be able to deliver our programs to youth in Waterloo Region and surrounding area. Volunteers bring their professional experiences into the classroom (currently via video conference) to help students connect program concepts with real-life situations. With their help, students gain the knowledge and confidence they need to define their personal success and go after their dreams.
JA volunteers are generous, talented, and inspiring. They come from a variety of schooling and business areas and share one common goal: educating students and inspiring them to achieve their highest potential.
